PR team has banned media from her New York Fashion Week show today





The actress-turned-designer is set to unveil her Spring/Summer 13 collection from fashion line Holmes & Yang this morning at the New York City's Lincoln Center venue.

Prior to the showcase, the PR team responsible for looking after Katie sent a stern warning to the press. In an email sent last night, the agency made it clear that security would be tight at the event.

“Please note that tomorrow’s Holmes & Yang presentation is CLOSED to all media, unless you have already been approved by their team," the statement warned, according to the New York Post. "No media will be allowed to enter the venue, unless you have a direct invitation from the Holmes & Yang PR team.”

The high fashion line by Katie and Jeanne Yang includes women’s and a girl’s collection. The aim of their designs is to make comfortable clothing that is very versatile with a neutral colour scheme running throughout the items to make dressing easier.

“The collection, done in a palette of cream, navy, and black, features luxe shirts and trousers," reported Style.com who previewed the line. "Textured silk jumpsuits; motorcycle jackets; leather, silk-lined blazers; and ruched strapless dresses worthy of the red carpet.”

It has previously been reported that Katie has been feeling the pressure before the showcase today. Last month it emerged that the designer was nervous about showing her range at the prestigious fashion industry event.

"Katie is feeling insecure and is doubting her efforts to do well," a source revealed.

“This is a big deal for Katie to show in the tents, under the full attention of the fashion editors and the glare of the media scrutiny. They could have done a small show elsewhere, so this proves she and Jeanne are very serious about their business."
