John Galliano has been heckled while at an American airport, reportedly after leaving rehab.

The fashion designer was sacked from his role as head designer at Christian Dior earlier this year, following allegations he made anti-Semitic comments during an argument in Paris. He will face trial in France for the remarks and there were further claims he had declared he “loved Hitler” while drunk last year.

Galliano hasn’t been seen in public over the last few weeks, and it’s been reported he has been receiving treatment at The Meadows rehab facility in Arizona.

The designer is thought to have left the clinic yesterday and was seen at LAX airport in Los Angeles. He was shouted at as he walked through, with people asking whether he thought Dior’s decision to fire him was fair. He didn’t respond, resulting in one man calling him a “f**king racist”.

Galliano, who looked tired and pale, was wearing large dark sunglasses which covered most of his face, and his hair was hidden beneath a hat.

The designer apologised for his remarks in March, stating he didn’t mean to “cause offence” with his behaviour. He also denied the anti-Semitism claims.
