Is Miranda Kerr designing jewellery with Swarovski?
Miranda Kerr has hinted she will be collaborating with Swarovski.
The Australian model has been the face of the jewellery company since late last year, but seems to want to do more than simply pose in its advertising. She gave a press conference today in which she discussed her work with the brand and implied she will be getting more involved in the design process.
“What I love about Nathalie [Colin, Swarovski creative director] is that she listens and is like, ‘OK great, this is what you like then we’ll go with that and how would you wear it?’ It’s really refreshing to work with a brand who appreciates that input,” vogue.com.au quotes the model as saying.
This immediately led to questions about whether a full-on collaboration is in the pipeline.
“I think definitely… actually she really has a point of view on jewellery,” Nathalie replied, when quizzed on Miranda turning designer.
The 31-year-old model discussed why she enjoys working with the jewellery company so much, claiming those who work there are so friendly it’s like teaming up with family. She also likes that the company offers so many different pieces it’s easy to select something no matter what the occasion, or who is going to wear it.
Natalie opened up more about the design process, explaining that having a team which boasts people from 21 different nations is what inspires her.
“From the beginning I have surrounded myself with a team of eclectic and very diverse profile. It’s very important to be surrounded by people with a different point of view,” she said. “I never wanted to be surrounded by clones of myself because it would be boring.”
Miranda wore an easy-to-wear blush and black floral patterned dress to the event. It boasted elbow-length sleeves and a flirty skirt, with the model accessorising with a chunky gold chain necklace. Picking the right piece to finish off a look is how the star tends to add interest to her outfits.
“A statement piece, like a ring or a necklace, can really dress up an outfit. It can transform a look from day to night,” MailOnline quotes her as saying.
“But there are no rules really, I like to dress for how I'm feeling at that moment. I always have options in case my mood changes on the day.”
