'I saved time and realised I was on to a winner'

Time-pressed mum-of-one and full-time TV producer Debbie O'Donnell began shopping online a few years ago and has never looked back.

"Once I started buying my food from Tesco online, I realised that I was on to a winner in terms of time saving. So when it comes to fashion websites, I like all of them! is great, and Net-A-Porter is very efficient and very good, it's reputable and the item can go back easily if you don't like it.

"I would only rarely buy a dress from it as it is expensive but if I wanted something for a special occasion, for example the TV Now awards or a fashion show, I'd buy there. It's very good and only takes a few days."

Debbie (37) also likes checking out the high-street store wesbites before hitting the actual stores.

"If I was going down to Dundrum to Zara, I would go online fist to check their stock before I'd go into the shop.

"I love GAP because the kids ranges have really good discounts which you wouldn't get in the shop: online you might get 30pc off."

Debbie is getting married later this month and her computer has been a great help, from everything from flowers to the dress itself.

"I bought the dress from the White Room in Mullingar, but as they had a good website, I found the dress online and then it was the first one I tried on when I went to the shop.'

"'I do think it's better value to shop online -- you have a great choice. It's definitely the way forward."
