'I don't wear a bra' - Rihanna reveals fashion rules with third Vogue cover

With the publication of her third Vogue cover in four years, you'd think Rihanna would run out of things to shock us.

But the Bajan superstar always has a story to tell.

Rihanna embraced her natural hair, shaped into a pixie cut and lifts the lid on some of the secrets which make her a global style icon. And they're not very Vogue-friendly.

"If I'm wearing a top, I don't wear a bra. If I'm wearing a bra, I just wear a bra," she explained to the fashion bible.

"When I was thirteen or fourteen, I didn't want to wear what my mom wanted me to wear. I was very much a boy in my style, my demeanor. All my friends were guys. I loved things that boys did."

And the 25-year-old even shared clothes with her mother Monica Braithwaite.

I loved being easy with my clothes. I loved wearing hats and scarves and snapbacks on my head. It was my way of rebelling. I wanted to dress like my brother. After a while, it was just easier for Mom to dress us both the same.

"We wore the same jeans, the same T-shirts," she concluded.

Ri Ri also did her own eye makeup for the exclusive shoot and is clearly more than comfortable in her own skin.
