Young fashionistas are splashing out more than €100 a month on emulating their favourite stars, a new survey has found. Almost half of those aged 16 to 25 spend around €120 every four weeks in a bid to look like they're famous.
Meanwhile, more than four out of 10 youngsters admitted to suffering 'Insta-envy' -- jealously of their friends' or celebrities' wardrobes, brought on by Instagram snaps.
Although she doesn't use Instagram, Lena Zellerhoff, who lives in Dublin, admits she regularly pours over the glossies for style inspiration.
"Sometimes it's good to try something new," says Lena (25), a plus-size model who's signed to Andrea Roche Model Agency.
"And celebrities are good for getting ideas, before you splash out.
"I probably spend around €100 a month on clothes."
"As a curvy girl, I think Kim Kardashian is a great dresser and always try to accentuate my waist, just like her."
