How can I get the 1920s look without breaking the bank?

Roxanne Parker

QI'm inspired by all the 1920s fashion around at the moment and I'm looking for an outfit to wear to a big party that I have coming up. Have you any idea how I can get the look without spending a fortune?

A There are lots of 1920s-inspired pieces hitting the high street at the moment as this is a massive trend that featured on the runway at Gucci and Ralph Lauren.

AIwear have cute white tiered beaded-style flapper dresses for €67.50, while Biba, at House of Fraser, have a breathtaking dusty pink beaded dress for €207, pricier, but it looks like a genuine vintage piece.

River Island stock a cute drop-waist fringed dress that would be fantastic worn with T-bar sandals.

Try Penneys patent styles, a snip for €13. Or splash out on Office's super glam metallic versions.

For something a little different why not try asos.com's pretty playsuit with Peter Pan collar detail.

For accessories inject a dose of The Roaring '20s into your outfit by adding a long tassel necklace such as AIwear's bronze version.
