Have Chanel named a bag after Karl Lagerfeld's cat, Choupette?
Journalist tweets that she's seen it
That's right, it seems Choupette - the fluffy white kitten belonging to Chanel's creative director Karl Lagerfeld - has bagged herself a namesake in the form of a sure-to-be must-have bag.
‘New York Times’ journalist Cathy Horyn paid a visit to Chanel's Paris HQ yesterday and tweeted that she had just seen the "Choupette bag" and it was "knitted" and "soft".
It's unknown whether the bag will be making its way down Chanel's autumn/winter 2012 couture catwalk this morning, or if Choupette had a paw in the design - she likes to "knead the tweed"- but what we are sure of is that it won't be the last Chanel-Choupette item we see.
The Siamese cat is possibly the most indulged feline in the world.
Not only does Choupette (which means ‘Sweetie’ in French) has two maids of her own but she can also use an iPad and eats at the table.
"She has lunch and dinner with me on the table, with her own food. She doesn't touch my food. She doesn't want to eat on the floor,” the designer told WWD. “She sleeps under a pillow and she even knows how to use an iPad. She has two personal maids, for both night and day. She is beyond spoiled.”
