Supermodel Gisele Bündchen has launched a search to find top models in South America.
The model, who is rumoured to be pregnant with her second child, is returning to her native Brazil to launch the TV programme ‘Top CUFA’ (Central Unica das Favelas or Central Union of Slums).
The show will see contestants from 27 South American states competing for the prize, which includes a year-long modelling contract as well as the crown that Gisele won at her first carnival in Rio.
The aim of the programme is to boost the self esteem of esteem of slum dwellers.
At the launch the model said: "I feel privileged to be the sponsor of this project."
She also revealed that she was turned down 42 times as she attempted to make it as a model, adding: "I was finally taken on the 43rd try!"
However, she was remaining quiet about her rumoured second pregnancy. The Brazilian and her American footballer husband, Tom Brady, already have one son, Benjamin, who is two years old.
