Get ready to party!
Dust away the cobwebs and experiment with autumn/winter trends, says Bairbre Power
The Halloween weekend is shaping up to be a stylish precursor to the full-on Christmas party season.
Not everyone wants to do fancy dress, so we thought we'd look at some of our favourite trends for autumn/ winter 2012, from dark romance to embellished doll and high-octane opulence.
Don't be afraid to experiment with colour, fabric and patterns, says Siobhan McHugh, stylist and personal shopper at Liffey Valley Shopping Centre.
"This season, the autumn collections capture the imagination of the romantic feminine soul who loves all things pretty, such as lace and chiffon, yet sometimes wants to express their strong, daring side by adding leather, studs and embellishment," she explains.
"These trends allow fashion followers to express personality with their own unique style."
