Get eco-savvy and Re-dress your wardrobe this season
I’m a big believer that fashion is definitely more fun when you can inject your own creativity into what you’re wearing. More importantly, being eco-conscious when it comes to fashion is also something that is being embraced more and more in the industry.
Re-dress embodies both of these things and was founded in 2008 by Kellie Dalton, Kate Nolan and Rosie O'Reilly. The company was set up to educate us fashion lovers on the importance of sustainable fashion and to highlight the detrimental humanitarian, environmental and economic effect the clothing industry is having on the world today.
Apart from educating industry leaders Re-dress hold regular workshops for all showing you how to transform what you already have in your wardrobe, as well as how to make the hottest current looks from scratch. Some workshops focus on the core sewing and design skills needed to revive tired pieces into this season’s must-haves, whilst another teaches you how to make your very own pair of French knickers (cocktails provided)!
These affordable and fabulous workshops are just the inspiration you need to get down and dirty with your sewing kit, making your wardrobe completely unique and of course, eco-friendly.
The series of workshops listed below are due to take place throughout November and range from one-off sessions to weekly courses. For more information and to book please go to http://www.re-dress.ie/index.html. Details of my favourite courses below:
