Kylie Minogue - Oh Kylie, we feel for you. We really do.

We've all been there. Those days when you'd do anything to spend some time mooching around the house, no make-up on, wearing your favourite comfy trackie bottoms.

You can't blame her for wanting a night off occasionally. After all, it must be a bit wearying always trying to dress up like a pop princess now that you're in your 40s.

But on a night like this when you're appearing with the great and the good of the music world at the Brits and you've got a new album to promote, it's time to pull out all the stops. Kylie's a pro, so of course she did just that. We're sure some of her fans are thrilled that she decided to work a temptress vibe and pour herself into a shiny latex dress accessorised with a giant bow.

Unfortunately we're not one of them. We look at the William Wilde design and just think tacky, tacky, tacky – in every sense. We expected better from you, Kylie.

First off, don't be tempted to try this at home. This seriously figure-hugging Tom Ford body-con dress is designed for starry supermodels only, not mere mortals. Jennifer Lopez attempted to wear it earlier this year but her Jenny from the Block roots couldn't compete with Jourdan's model credentials.

The new face of YSL (along with pal Cara) may have been busy on the catwalks of London Fashion Week by day and partying by night, but there was no hint of any toll being taken on the mother of one who shone at the Elle Awards. Sexy, stylish and seriously sassy, this is monochrome magic.

The way way we wear....
