Fashion on Friday: Red carpet wrap
Best dressed, Margot Robbie. Worst dressed, Karren Brady
Wow, talk about a scarlet woman! She may have lied to her family about shedding her clothes for certain scenes in The Wolf of Wall Street, but the choice of this full-length and really quite fabulous Oscar de la Renta number shows that Margot Robbie is happy to cover up when necessary... and she still can stun onlookers.
Although the glamorous gown initially appears quite conservative, with its high neck and long sleeves, it does boast a sexy split that shows off her toned legs to good effect. And we love, love, love the dramatic billowing train.
She may only be 23, but after stepping out at premiere after premiere, the Australian star has proved that she definitely can work the Hollywood leading-lady look. And she has chutzpah too — after all, not everyone could pull off a tulip-shaped skirt! We predict a red-hot future.
Oh Karren, whatever would Lord Sugar say?! We completely understand you want to prove that there's a real woman underneath all those stuffy suits you had to wear for The Apprentice.
And who could blame you? We're all in favour of un-doing a few buttons and letting loose when it comes to dressing up ourselves. However, when it comes to this particular jumpsuit... we’re not so sure you’ve done the right thing.
You're a businesswoman so we're sure you did a cost-benefit analysis when it came to showing off your assets. But surely it's not good business practice to reveal (almost) all of them?
There's only a flimsy piece of material protecting your modesty, after all. Is the reward really worth the risk? We don't think so.
