Vogue Williams lives 'absolute dream' walking for Irish designer Paul Costelloe at LFW
Vogue Williams took centre stage at Irish designer Paul Costelloe's much-awaited showing at London Fashion Week.
The tv presenter (31) was the guest of honour, given the task of closing Monday's presentation at The Waldorf Hilton Hotel, in one that attracted one of the biggest Irish audiences. Williams first shot to fame as a model in Dublin, but never did runway work and instead made a name for herself with promotional work during the Celtic Tiger before moving into television and now enjoys a successful career on the small screen both in the UK and Ireland.
She described the runway show as an "absolute dream", being given a variety of looks that showcased Costelloe's Spring/Summer '18 collection - filled with dreamy pastels and bold prints that will have you hoping to fast forward to knit layers of autumn and winter straight to next season. The vintage inspiration of the collection was apparent with colourful drop earrings and dramatic eye makeup in the vein of Twiggy's iconic dark mascara.
It seems like the fashion world has been taking note of Williams, who is dating Spencer Matthews, who just happens to count Pippa Middleton as a sister-in-law. She has been a FROW seat of choice at the Julien McDonald and House of Holland shows this week and nabbed a sponsorship deal for her Instagram account.
But yesterday was all about Costelloe, the famously outspoken designer from Limerick, who counted Princess Diana as one of his biggest champions in the '90s and still enjoys in-demand status with the British royal family. After taking a break from showing at LFW, he has once again earned a place at the top of fashionistas' front row wishlists and holds a particular penchant for Irish stars cracking the market across the water.
Former Made in Chelsea star Nicola Hughes, sporting a new orange hairdo, was among the guests and in previous years, Storm Keating, Una Healy and Laura Whitmore all enjoyed their place there, but none moreso than Vogue.
