There aren't many men who can say they spend their working days with the most beautiful women in the world.
But Russell James can - just look at his Instagram page for proof.
The Australian photographer is lingerie retailer Victoria's Secret's main man. He's lensed the brand's campaigns and catalogues since 1997, and it's to him the brand owes its consistently glossy image. It's little surprise then, that he once featured in a TV show called 'Best jobs ever'.
Now, he has used his professional relationship with the lingerie brand's famed spokesmodels - the Victoria's Secret Angels - as the basis for his latest book, the appropriately-titled 'Angels'.
The 304-page coffee table tome features most of the world's top models, many of whom James met through Victoria's Secret - including Lily Aldridge, Candice Swanepoel and Alessandra Ambrosio - but also some he didn't, like newcomer Kendall Jenner. But you'll find no perky pink VS lingerie here, or even a pair of signature wings - the book is dedicated to the genre of nudes.
"For the past 20 years, I've had the good fortune to shoot the most beautiful women in the world, many of whom I met through my association with Victoria's Secret," says James. "To the women who appear here, and all those I've shot these many years, I want to say thank you for the privilege and, most importantly, your trust. I am humbled and deeply grateful."
