The 43-year-old fashion designer showed the latest line of her eponymous collection on Sunday during New York Fashion Week, commanding an A-list front row comprised largely of her family. Despite the heavyweight names like US Vogue editor Anna Wintour in attendance, all eyes were, as usual, on her husband David and their three youngest children Romeo (15), Cruz (12) and Harper (six).
Their oldest son Brooklyn (18) is believed to be in Los Angeles with girlfriend Chloe Grace Moretz. It was fitting that yesterday's show ended on such a high as it marked her last time appearing in NYFW and she will be join other top British and international designers in the London Fashion Week scheduling from September.
"It feels like the right way to round off showing in New York," she said of the early 20th century mansion she transformed into a runway, according to The Guardian. "It’s more intimate, like my first shows were. I wanted this to be a nice thing to do on a Sunday morning. I want people to enjoy coming to my shows."
Beckham first showed at NYFW 10 years ago and her return to London also makes a new chapter in her career: one as a serious designer, no longer competing to be seen as more than just another celebrity indulging a hobby.
She also confirmed that she hasn't been commissioned to design Meghan Markle's wedding dress this May and that the Spice Girls won't be touring after rumours began to swirl following their much hyped reunion - even it was just for Instagram.
