The gingham gúna sold out everywhere in the UK is coming to a Penneys near you
Snapped up by trendy Brits, but on its way to your wardrobe...?
It was a case of gone gone gingham gúna in the UK as style-spotters snapped up a pretty blue and white tea-length summer dress for a song last week.
Shoppers went a bit gaga for the relatively understated piece in Primark stores over in the UK, and after selling out all over the country, the coveted clothing item is now hitting Penneys branches on the Emerald Isle.
So what makes this dress so bizarrely popular?
Well as far as we can see anyway, it's down to the silhouette - flatteringly fitted in the right places, and an ideal length for going from 'worker bee' to outdoor G&T (yay summer!) It also ticks the trendy 'statement-sleeve' box, as well as the much-coveted conservative collar box too. Of course the purse-friendly price-point helps - the dress selling at £15 (€18) in stores - and being featured in some of the most influential fashion mags hasn't hurt either.
Enough talk already! Tell us when we can get our hands on it!
Unfortunately Penneys hasn't yet revealed the exact date for the dress's arrival, but we're sure you'll be alerted by a remarkably stylish stampede of fashion-hungry folk on O'Connell Street as soon as it does!
