Ruth Negga joined by boyfriend Dominic Cooper at Vanity Fair Oscars After Party
Ruth Negga was joined by her long-term boyfriend Dominic Cooper at the Vanity Fair Oscars After Party on Sunday night.
The Irish-Ethiopian actress made a rare red carpet appearance with her beau, with the pair avoiding the cameras on the red carpet.
Earlier in the evening, Negga took to the red carpet alone ahead of the 89th Academy Awards in order to detract from the growing public interest in their relationship and met Cooper inside.
The Loving star had a quick outfit change for the prestigious Beverly Hills event, and opted for a structured Oscar De La Renta gown with silver court shoes.
She paired the couture gown with emerald and diamond earrings and minimal makeup, while Cooper looked dapper in a black suit.
For the awards ceremony at The Dolby Theatre, the Limerick native (36) solidified her budding style icon status in the Victorian-style high neck gown, accessorising with a ruby hairband by the French fashion house, whose pieces she has championed throughout a chaotic awards season.
Most notably, however, Ruth, wore an ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) blue ribbon, indicative of a politically charged night to come at the Dolby Theatre for the 89th Academy Awards.
She was nominated in the Best Actress category for her turn as civil rights campaigner Mildred Loving in Loving, while La La Land actress Emma Stone took home the award.
