Rihanna literally swam with sharks for Harper's Bazaar cover
Bajan singer Rihanna went deep sea diving for real for the magazine's stunning photo shoot.
To mark the 40th anniversary of iconic flick Jaws, the 26-year-old sister took the plunge in an underwater fashion shoot.
When Rihanna was approached by the Harper’s team last year about the concept, the gung-ho star just said “cool”.
"Jaws both thrilled and freaked me out because I was a beach baby, so every time a new Jaws came out I would take months off from the beach or just sit on the sand. If I happened to get in the water, my dad would hum the theme music, and I was right back out of it. But that was really my fault because I was obsessed with Jaws. Steven Spielberg was my childhood hero," she told the magazine.
The singer swam with three real sand tiger sharks in a tank at the Florida Aquarium in Tampa to create the surreal images.
Photographer and diver Norman Jean Roy joined Rihanna in the tank to capture the images and the magazine has released a behind-the-scenes video documenting the day.
Rihanna, who is said to be dating Leonardo Dicaprio, had three costume changes - including a Chanel swimsuit as she laughed and joked with the team and spilled the beans on censorship, commitment and cellulite.
“The day I wake up without cellulite? Now that would be the perfect day,” the chart topper told the magazine.
“What makes a BadGal in 2015? You're about to find out,” she teased.
