Candice Huffine felt beautiful during her sexy shoot for the Pirelli calendar.

The plus-size model is one of the chosen few who will appear in the iconic publication's 2015 edition. Photographer Steven Meisel chose the women to work with, among them Carolyn Murphy, Adriana Lima and Isabeli Fontana.

The calendar is known for being risqué and UK size 16 model Candice appears in a latex corset and with a whip in her hand.

"You actually feel quite beautiful. I mean that wasn't my first time. I did a full nude shot the first time I shot with Steven for Italian Vogue," she explained to British newspaper The Telegraph. "When you love your body and you're proud of it, you feel OK to strip down."

The 30-year-old model always knew she wanted to be part of the industry and when she was 15, her mother agreed to take her to New York to visit some agents. It was a rude awakening for Candice, who soon realised she didn't know as much about fashion as she initially thought.

"It was devastating. I was a size 6 - 8 at the time [UK size 10 - 12] and I didn't realise that was way too big to be a model. I thought I was fit, trim and cute. I had no idea about sample sizes," she recalled.

Some agents told her they might reconsider things if she dropped around 15lbs, which left the star disheartened. However, Wilhelmina Models discussed the concept of plus-size with her and gave her a go.

Things have changed a great deal since Candice started out and she's proud to be part of that. Not least because she loves that she has appeared in prestigious publications like Italian Vogue, explaining that each year her career has become better.

"I've watched new companies form and designers extend their sizes into new ranges. There are all these options now for a variety of curvy women. I'm really passionate about the industry - we've grown together," she said.
