This year is going to be super busy for model-turned-entrepreneur Pippa O'Connor as she sets about expanding her business and travelling the country with her fashion days out.

The model-turned-blogger runs Pippa's Fashion Factories at different locations throughout the country where she advises women on style, hair and make-up.

"I've one at the end of January that's already sold out which is brilliant," she told the Diary.

"Then we have four other shows lined up and the response has been great, so I'm looking forward to concentrating on that for the next year."

Pippa (30) is primarily known for her modelling work but she admits that it's not something she's going to pursue for much longer.

"I haven't officially stepped away from modelling, but that's where I'm going," she revealed.

"I'd say this time next year I won't be doing it at all - it's time at some stage to do your own thing and be completely independent."

With her young son Ollie keeping her busy and her own business to run, Pippa isn't looking to have baby number two with her husband Brian Ormond just yet.

"I've loads happening in the next year, so I'm not feeling the rush yet," she admitted.

"Ollie's doing great but I'm going to keep up with the work while I can and think about having more children a little further down the line."

Last year was hard for Pippa after losing her mum Louise to a suspected heart attack, but she said the loss has spurred her on to pursue new things and achieve her goals.

"I have learned to stop being scared and doubting myself so much - I now know that if you want something, you do it now," she said.

"Time doesn't wait. If something doesn't happen for me it's because I don't want it enough.

"I'm feeling more positive and motivated about this year than ever before - probably because I've lost my Mum.

"It's really made me see things in a different light," she added.

With her website, pippa.ie growing daily and her fashion days out becoming so successful, fulfilling her career goals are on the top of Pippa's list for the months ahead.

"This year I'm looking forward to traveling, spending more time with family and friends, and fulfilling a big career goal of mine," she said.
