Law and fashion. It's a curious combination and one that's often confined to black gowns, pinstripes and the odd powdered wig.

However, it was all about colour and bright hues yesterday when leading law firm Arthur Cox announced details of its annual fashion showcase with a photocall at its Earlsfort Terrace offices.

This is the fifth year of the fashion show which aims to provide a strategic business development platform for Irish designers.

Leading designers taking part in the show at the National Concert Hall on Wednesday, May 24, include Helen McAlinden, Helen Steele, Deborah Veale, Sara O'Neill, Niall Tyrrell, Jen Kelly and Mary Grant.

The celebration of Irish design takes place in the Kevin Barry Room which has undergone a transformation to bring a more contemporary touch to the historic venue.
