Irish model Tabea Weyrauch is one of the handful of girls who can say they successfully transitioned from reality star to international runway supremo.
The 20-year-old catwalk queen, from Foyle, Co Derry, has walked for more than 50 international shows for some of the world's most exclusive designers including Anya Hindmarch, Calvin Klein, Roksanda Ilincic and Emilia Wickstead - and that's just this year.
Despite her young age, Weyrauch has been a fixture on the global style scene since winning RTE reality programme The Model Scouts in 2010 at the age of 16, and subsequently landing a contract with IMG Models.
She's a regular at New York Fashion Week, however she gave it a miss this year and chose to focus on ruling the runway at London where she modelled for the previously mentioned brands as well as Joseph.
And she's an avid social media user, keeping her fashion fans in the loop.
Many of her shows include an A-list front row, including US Vogue Editor Anna Wintour, Olivia Palermo, Samantha Barks, Yasmin Le Bon and Tinie Tempah among the names who saw her strut her stuff at London Fashion Week.
She was discovered in 2010 when she auditioned for the former RTE show at Foyleside Shopping Centre in Derry and said she never expected anything out of it.
“I would probably have taken a gap year to think things through anyway, and right now I can think of no better way to spend my transition years," she previously told The Derry Journal.
"When I look back it really shocks me to realise how much I’ve grown in such a short period of time, it’s amazing how much travelling changes you.
“So although I had no idea that my life would turn out as it has, I’m really happy I went to Foyleside that day!”
WITH her smouldering eyes boring into the lens, cutting cheekbones and gazelle-like figure, The Model Scouts winner, Tabea Weyrauch, bears an uncanny resemblance to Hollywood beauty, Keira Knightley. And she works the camera just as impressively. But this provocative world of fashion, photo shoots and intense grooming is still pretty new and dreamlike to the Derry girl, who beat off thousands of auditionees from all over Ireland to win the RTE show.
