Kildare model Lorna Foran cements rising star status at Miu Miu cruise show in Paris - after Vogue debut
As if we needed any more proof of Lorna Foran's burgeoning supermodel status.
The 26-year-old model from Kildare is no stranger to walking the runway for some of the world's biggest designers - she's already appeared in shows for Jean Paul Gaultier and Maison Margiela, not to mention she was Gucci's golden girl in 2016.
But the Irish model, from Celbridge, Co Kildare, is climbing to new heights in her career and on Sunday, she hit the runway for Miu Miu's cruise collection show during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week alongside some of the best-known supermodels in the world.
Kendall Jenner, Bella Hadid and Joan Smalls strutted their stuff while Doutzen Kroes, Elle Fanning and Alexa Chung sat front row.
It comes just weeks after she made her Vogue debut in the Ukranian issue of the international style bible - she also features in the MSGM Spring/Summer '17 campaign, the Preen by Thornton Bregazzi lookbook and is the face of Brown Thomas' CREATE.
Lorna has been based in London for the last number of years and she said she's better equipped to cope with the constant travel of the job because she was relatively older getting into the modelling game.
"It depends on how you are yourself. If you sit down and don’t talk to anyone, that creates a bad atmosphere, but to be fair a lot of the girls are really young. I’m probably one of the older ones," she told independent.ie in September.
"I’m 25 now, I’m practically a fossil! The other girls are generally between 16 and 19, some of them are there with their mams. It must be terrifying if you’re that young."
Despite her growing international success, Lorna only committed to modelling full-time last year and had been previously double jobbing as a retail manager.
"I did fit modelling for a designer who introduced me to a photographer who liked redheads. They sent my picture to her and I shot for i-D magazine later that day," she explained of her breakout moment.
"It was on and off for a while after that, but then an agency got in touch with me and said it was probably my time and I should do it now."
