Irish model Louise O’Reilly cited as one of top 'plus size fashion influencers' in the world
Irish beauty Louise O'Reilly was 'honoured' to speak at the recent 'Curve Fashion Fest' alongside Tess Holliday and David Hasselhoff's daughter, Hayley.
The Dublin native was selected as a guest of honour by organisers of the Manchester event.
"The Curve Fashion Festival is for curvy and plus size women," Louise explained. "They flew in the top curvy influencers from around the world and I was so honoured to be approached by the organisers along with Tess Holliday, David Hasslehoff’s daughter Hayley and plus size fashion blogger Nicolette Mason."
As part of the event, fashion blogger Louise (who writes at StyleMeCurvy.net) did a meet and greet with her readers and featured in panel talks to an audience of over 1,000 people. She also starred on the cover of popular fashion magazine 'Slink' in conjunction with the festival.
"Throughout the event there was a huge selection of top brands and lingerie companies who cater for curvy and plus size fashion. There was also catwalk shows which gave an outlet for women of all curves and dress sizes to check out the latest trends for the new season which was brilliant to see," the Malahide-born model added.
Louise was invited to the event alongside size-26 American model, Tess Holliday, the self-proclaimed 'body positive activist' who created the influential #effyourbeautystandards social media movement. When Tess was signed to the books of Louise's UK agency - she officially became the curviest model in the world to be represented by a mainstream agency.
"It was my first time meeting Tess. We’ve known each other online through our blogs and we’re now represented by the same agency in London, Milk Management. She is such a lovely person with a brilliant energy about her so it was lovely to work along side her over the weekend," Louise praised.
Well known model and regular tv stylist Louise also attended London Fashion Week, where she judged the 'Cosmopolitan FashFest Brand Awards' alongside Jameela Jamil.
"I love the buzz and excitement of fashion week, attending some of my favorite designer shows like Henry Holland, David Koma and Sophia Webster. I was sponsored by a chauffer company this season called Addison Lee which was a godsend as it would have been difficult to get to each show around London on time."
"There was also a great array of Irish talent there too at the Irish Unfold event which showcased designs by Helen Steele, Emma Manley, Chupi and many more. It was great to see."
