Gisele Bundchen earns eye-watering €128k PER DAY as world's wealthiest supermodel
It pays to be Gisele Bundchen.
Forbes's love affair with Gisele Bündchen's seemingly phenomenal earning prowess shows no signs of waning. And even though the Brazilian beauty herself has said that the business publication regularly miscalculates her earnings, we show no signs of being any less fascinated by their estimations.
According to the magazine the 33-year-old mother of two has been the world's highest-earning supermodel for the last seven years - last year there was a huge $35 million gap between her and second placed model Miranda Kerr - and this year will no doubt be her eighth at the top.
Why? Because the last 12 months have been the most lucrative of her career, so lucrative that Forbes say she has raked in an astonishing $128,000 per day (that's $47 million in total, before doling out costs to management or agents etc.) It's worth bearing in mind that Forbes's estimate was calculated before news of Bundchen's latest crop of (no doubt big-money) jobs was publicised; campaigns for Chanel No.5, Balenciaga and Pucci.
Whether Forbes is accurate or not seems somewhat superficial - Bündchen is by far the world's most successful model, trouncing better-known names like Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne. Perhaps it's because she's altogether more wholesome; a self-professed earth mother who seems to live a life full of organic goodness, and one that's void of any wild nights out that end with her being papped bleary-eyed or drug scandals. Whatever it is, the big brands clearly think she's worth it.
