Forever 21 has pulled a controversial slogan t-shirt amid accusations it perpetuates a rape culture.

The menswear tee with 'Don't say maybe if you mean no' emblazoned on it has been pulled from shelves in store and online after a massive public backlash.

The clothing company has since apologised to consumers for any upset caused, but is still being subjected to a torrent of abuse online.

“Forever 21 strives to exemplify the highest ethical standards and takes feedback and product concerns very seriously,” Forever 21 said in a statement to The Huffington Post.

“With regards to the T-shirt in question, upon receiving feedback from our customers, we took immediate action to have it removed from our website. We sincerely apologize to anyone who was offended by the product.”
