When Stephanie Roche stole the show at the FIFA Ballon d'Or in her flirty, sexy Helen Cody peach lace and feathers frock, a new generation of fans sat up and took notice of the designer's name.
The talented Dubliner has been a fashion treasure for quite some time, loved by clients who get her romantic, feminine aesthetic and can afford her luxury, four figure prices.
Winning the coveted 'Irish Designer of the Year' award at Kerry Fashion Week last night was richly deserved. "What an honour to win, the previous winner was Simone Rocha so I was just so honoured," says Helen, whose new, keenly awaited spring/summer 2015 collection is exclusively revealed here today.
Helen's March diary is extremely busy with the ARC show at the RDS next Monday followed by the Irish Fashion Innovation awards in Galway on the 24th and the opening of the portfolio show at the National Craft Gallery in Kilkenny on March 26.
The good news for readers is that Helen's clothes go into Brown Thomas, Grafton Street this month and she has also has pop-up at Industry, Drury Street (March 10-15) at which buy clothes and accessories.
