Teen becomes Prom Queen after she designs her own dress to stand up against bullies

A teenage girl from New Jersey used her prom outfit to make more than a fashion statement - and was duly voted as Prom Queen

Kymeh McEntyre (19) put her talents to use when she designed her outfit for her high school prom.

The statuesque beauty took to Instagram to share an image of herself wearing the colourful and intricate creation.

"This is for always being labeled as, "ugly" or "angry". Thank God, stereotypes are just opinions," she captioned the photo.

The Performing Arts student left not only her classmates, but the whole world, in awe of her eloquence and stoicism.

Another picture carried the heartfelt post,

"Throughout the world, we have people who do not notice each others essence and humanity. We Stunt our collective spiritual growth by allowing assumptions and stereotypes to cloud our mind and thus our physical reality. We let these negative ideas get the best of us, and in turn a world of isolation is manifested by our lack of sensitivity and desire to sympathize with each other."

“Don’t let anyone define you,” she added. “Beautiful things happen when you take pride in yourself"

Unsurprisingly, she claimed the crown and was named Prom Queen of the night.

She is planning to enroll in New York's prestigious Parsons School of Design after she graduates from high school.
