Rudimental pop in to Dublin boutique for ‘early Christmas shopping’

Members of the chart topping band Rudimental took staff at the boutique by surprise when they “bounded into the shop yesterday”.

Ahead of their surprise Dublin gig last night, two members of Rudimental stopped by popular city centre boutique Om Diva.

“I didn’t recognise them at first,” staff member Jenny Cassin admitted. “They bounded in the door and were very loud and very fun.”

“We had a bit of a laugh with them, they were grabbing bags off the wall and having the chats.

It only dawned on Jenny who they were when they said they were in town for one day only to play a gig that night at The Odeon Bar.

Jenny said the lads made the first Christmas purchase of the season, with one band member purchasing a tapestry bag for his girlfriend.

“They were really early." Jenny agreed. "The shop is usually full of men on Christmas Eve!”

After their purchase, the bandmembers dined together in Crackbird before taking to the stage for an electric performance.

The well known boutique is a popular destination for those on the Indie music scene including St. Vincent’s Annie Clark, Lisa Hannigan, Cathy Davey and Mike Scott from The Waterboys.

High profile Irish women including Kathryn Thomas and Amy Huberman have also worn designs and accessories from the Drury Street store.

The Dublin store recently launched its online boutique, bringing its eclectic offerings to an international audience.
