Brian O'Driscoll was every inch the doting husband as he was right by wife Amy Huberman's side for her big night.

The retired Irish rugby legend joined the award-winning actress (both 39) at the preview screening of her new show Finding Joy, a programme which she wrote and stars in, airing on RTE One. The normally low-key couple were all smiles as they made a rare red carpet appearance at the ODEON Point Village which played host to the sneak peek.

Huberman has been on the promotional trail in recent weeks and referred to the new tv show as her "other baby" as she has put it all on the line by also getting behind the camera. The mother-of-two put her best fashion foot forward in a navy blue polka dot mini dress, an off-white Teddy coat and a pair of white leather ankle boots from her eponymous shoe  line.

Earlier this week, the tv star said she has an optimistic approach to life, preferring a glass is half-full attitude.

"We are all meant to be shiny happy people. Of course, it's not realistic to be happy all day, every day," she told the RTE Guide. "I'm not upbeat all the time but I don't feel that I have to bare my darkest fears or worry all the time about the things in my life - like my parents getting older or the fact that my Dad is not well. I have to accept those as the realities of my life but I do have a positive outlook.

"That's not to say there are times I feel down or am hard on myself, because that's just human. I think we should own our sadness but there's also the pressure to constantly have your game face on."
