Meghan Markle marked her official foray in the British royal family with a timeless dress for the ages, according to our panel of fashion experts.
The new bride, who wed Prince Harry this afternoon in a dreamy ceremony at St George's Chapel in Windsor, shocked fashion insiders the world over with her choice of designer - a wildcard who wasn't even rumoured to be the running - with Claire Weight Keller for Givenchy.
The idea of a French fashion house designing a gown for a British princess is unheard-of, but Ms Weight Keller hails from Birmingham - and apparently she knows how to keep a secret.
"I think it represented her style perfectly. It was sleek and minimal, which is what we've seen a lot of from Meghan and Givenchy was a curve ball designer," leading Irish stylist Corina Gaffey told us.
"That neckline was absolutely stunning. When you marry into the monarchy, there's no room for playfulness or embellishment, this dress will stand the test of time. It was very Audrey Hepburn-inspired, who was a Givenchy bride."
Fashion broadcaster and stylist Lorna Claire Weightman had similar praise for the American actress, saying: "She is a natural born princesses.
"Her choice of Claire Weight Keller for Givenchy was completely unexpected and it was in keeping with her work at Celine, where it was very clean and minimal.
"I was actually a little overwhelmed and emotional at how beautiful she looked and I think a lot of people were the same."
Despite getting the seal of approval, many were quick to address the seemingly ill fit around the bust.
"I think from certain angles, it looked that, the top half didn't look as if it fit properly, but who cares? Her whole look from head to toe was flawless.
"The fact that she incorporated the 53 countries of the Commonwealth in her veil - what a gorgeous touch."
Corina believes the fit may be down to her build.
"I think it was just a heavy brush of satin and she is quite petite. This dress ticks all the right boxes."
The verdict is in: Princess Meghan is a fashion force to be reckoned with.
