Inside Kathryn Thomas' Operation Transformation wardrobe
Operation Transformation presenter Kathryn Thomas is a champion for Irish designers and high street bargains.
The 36-year-old presenter turned heads in a sophisticated and demure outfit as she graced our tv screens last night.
For last night’s episode of the hit RTE show, the Carlow native wore a navy taffeta prom skirt and a grey merino wool sweater.
The two elegant pieces were by celebrated Irish designer Orla Kiely, whose iconic retro-prints have elevated her profile as a designer both at home and abroad.
Kathryn’s knee length skirt and preppy jumper can be bought for €230 a piece in Arnotts department store or online.
This was not the first time Kathryn turned to Orla Kiely for help in the wardrobe department. Two weeks ago, she opted for a kitsch printed midi dress complete with a peter pan collar.
The dress in question was a pricier option, costing approximately €440.
However the statuesque blond is also a savvy shopper, relying on her failsafe pair of black pointed court shoes, which cost €82 in high street store Office.
To balance her pricier outfits, Kathryn also choses quirky day dresses from Darcy and pencil skirts from River Island for filming.
Kathryn is regarded as one of Ireland’s most stylish women, with a coveted VIP Style Award under her belt.
The award winning presenter is currently loved up with businessman Padraig McLoughlin but has said she has no plans to marry just yet.
"We're happy out. It's great to just feel at peace again and I've found a best friend as well, so it's lovely," she has stated.
"I've never really been that person, That's not to say that I wouldn't, but it doesn't hold a massive draw for me, in terms of the big white dress and the big day; it's not a priority," she explained.
"I'm not going to say I'd rule it out though, and my mother and sister would love it, but right now I'm happy with the way things are going. It's still relatively new as well," she added.
