Here is what Ireland's most stylish wear to look FROW ready at Fashion Week
London Fashion Week may be dominated by new season trends from British and International designers, but the style from our indigenous fashionistas is packing some punch on the streets of this fashion capital.
We dedicated followers of fashion may have our eyes on the catwalk (and the BAFTAs!) for some style inspiration, but our own talent knows how to channel those trends on the FROW. I caught up with some of the Irish fash-pack to see what they wore to London Fashion Week….
1. Corina Gaffey, Stylist
A linchpin in editorial styling in Ireland, Corina knows how to exude style wearing some of the catwalk’s most coveted pieces. Corina opted for a pink trench coat from Ellery styled with a geometric maxi dress by Marni, both from The Outnet.
"A highlight was definitely Preen; there were so many beautiful textures layered in the clothes, styled by Celestine Cooney. I love spotting emerging beauty trends like the glitter make up on the model’s foreheads," says Corina.
2. Ruth O’Neill, Presenter
Ruth went for a classic tailored suit to the Paul Costelloe show on Monday. A timeless yet on-trend look.
"I love the energy, creativity and inspiration i get from attending London Fashion Week! I wouldn't miss it for the world. I'm always in my element going backstage and attending the shows. Plus the street style is off the charts!"
3. Grace Mongey, Blogger
Ankle boots are a fashion week must have for one of Ireland’s leading beauty bloggers. Grace complements her look with a pink duster coat to pay tribute to Spring’s pastel trend. Speaking of her London Fashion Week experience, Grace said she "admired the colours, prints and natural make up seen at Roksanda".
4. Dominique Nugent, Blogger
Making her LFW debut, Dominique married tailoring with softer feminine features. “The puff sleeve detail and belt give a more relaxed, girly look to my suit," says Dominique. While chatting over trends backstage, Dominique explained how the hair look from Roksanda will be inspiring her own look at the final day of the AW18 previews.
