The first pictures of Simone Rocha's upcoming collaboration with J Brand jeans have been released.
The collection will be available at Dover Street Market from November 14 and is expected to become an instant sell-out.
"One of the first questions the people at J Brand asked me was what style of jeans I liked - and well, I wasn't going to lie. So I told them I didn't have any," Simone confessed of her own experiences, or lack of, with denim.
Meanwhile, the Irish designer said her transition into fashion comes courtesy of her father John's influence.
"I've been going to shows since I was zero," Simone laughed to British newspaper The Independent. "I started working on them when I was 11, I started assisting when I was 14, then I worked with dad until I was 17, when I went to college."
While a career in clothes may have been the most obvious choice for a young Simone, her dad wasn't totally convinced.
Taking his advice, Simone studied under the late Professor Louise Wilson OBE at Central Saint Martins. She graduated in 2010 with an MA in fashion.
"My mum and dad didn't want me to do fashion. They know how difficult it can be. But my dad said, 'Well if you're going to do it, it's a really difficult career, you have to be the best you can be before you go into... you need to go and do the MA with Louise Wilson.' And I was like, 'OK. I'm never going to get in, but I'll apply!' And it changed everything," she recalled.
Since her London Fashion Week debut with her Spring/Summer 11 collection, Simone's style career has soared.
She recently joined forces with denim label J Brand, but previously revealed she didn't own any jeans before the appointment.
