Emma Watson is Vogue style icon
Celebrities including Emma Watson and Lady Gaga have been cited as the best-dressed people of 2010.
To mark the imminent end of another year, journalists at the iconic fashion publication Vogue.com have created The Best Dressed List 2010.
The list boasts an array of glamorous stars from the world of film and music, as well as featuring models such as Freja Beha Erichsen, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Lara Stone.
Actress Emma Watson made the list primarily because of her new pixie hair do, which fashion insiders believe transformed her from a girl to a woman.
“Her new short hair has freshened up her look from the Harry Potter image, the cute girl in a prom dress. Now she looks like she means business; this new elfin look has given her some serious red carpet cred,” reported Vogue.com.
Eccentric singer Lady Gaga was also praised for her style credentials. Although her wacky outfits have caused controversy recently – notably the meat dress she donned for the MTV Video Music Awards back in September – the publication believes she deserves to be honoured for her willingness to push boundaries.
“Like performance dressers Madonna and Grace Jones before her, people are always interested to see what Gaga will put on next, whether it’s a dress made of steak, a Philip Treacy hat or a McQueen masterpiece,” reported the website.
The list hasn’t been arranged in a particular order, with all ten ladies on the list considered to be equally stylish in their own way.
