British actress Emily Mortimer has been unveiled as L.K. Bennett's new poster girl, starring in the campaign for the brand's autumn/winter 2012 collection.

The adverts also showcase L.K. Bennett's new ready-to-wear luxury capsule collection, Black Ribbon, which combines supreme tailoring with luxurious fabrics. Shot by Catherine Servel and styled by Kate Young, the actress wears a black lace dress from the new collection, along with platform sandals and a clutch from the main line collection.

Oxford University-educated Mortimer, who is currently starring alongside Jane Fonda in US series ‘The Newsroom’, was chosen by the brand for her Britishness. "As a brand that celebrates inspiring, accomplished and stylish women, Emily was a natural choice to front the campaign" said a spokesperson for L.K. Bennett. "And whilst we develop our retail presence in the U.S. and beyond, we were keen to ensure the star of the campaign was quintessentially British."

"I am delighted to partner with L.K. Bennett as they have been a go-to British brand for my seasonal 'must haves.' I love so many pieces in the upcoming collection, from the perfectly cut bouclé coat to the patent toe ankle boots, they are the perfect complements to any Fall wardrobe," said Mortimer of her new role.

The brand has enjoyed heightened success in recent times thanks to the Duchess of Cambridge's preference for both their clothing and footwear, particularly their nude court shoes, which she is seen wearing regularly.
