Hundreds of bargains from the biggest names on the high street can be found on the new outlet.
As if eBay.co.uk wasn’t already selling enough, what with five pairs of jeans, 19 pairs of shoes, 18 T-shirts and four handbags being bought every minute, now the massive online shopping destination is going into the discount business.
The launch this week of eBay’s new fashion outlet, ebay.co.uk/fashion means round-the-clock bargains from some of the high street’s major names, at reductions of up to 70%.
More than 27 high street favourites and leading brands have signed on for the new 24/7 online discount destination, including Kookai, Office, Superdry, Therapy at House of Fraser, Karen Millen, Cloggs, La Redoute, Dune, Bench, Ted Baker, and Schuh, with new names being added to the portfolio every day.
Current discount "hits" include a metallic, embroidered tunic dress by Kookai, down to £29.99 from £90, a flounced, strapless sun dress, by Therapy from £35 down to £13, and a pair of Dune, plaited, brown leather, gladiator heels for £60, instead of £85.
The fashion offering includes pieces from previous seasons as well as the current season and end of lines, all brand new. The site will obviously be of huge interest to the 17 million shoppers who browse eBay.co.uk every month in search of bargains.
Nearly 7 million people have downloaded the eBay app, generating over £380 million in sales last year. UK shoppers currently account for a whopping 69% of the total volume of items bought through the app across Europe.
