Darren Kennedy: Zingy fluorescents are back, but this time a little more grown up
Highlighter brights - think pink, green, orange and yellow - seem to be the colour palette du jour.
At House of Holland, a look-at-me orange suit was styled with a fluorescent pink turtleneck and chunky sandals. At Jeremy Scott, a designer who is known for his penchant for neon shades, there was no shortage of lime and lemon hues.

When it comes to evening wear, we don't often see these types of nu-rave colours, but designers like Cushnie, Christian Siriano, Naeem Khan and Emilia Wickstead made a convincing case for cocktail party-worthy dresses in traffic-stopping orange, acid green and fuschia. Yes, the fashion future looks bright.
British actress Gemma Chan continued her streak of sartorial home runs as she attended an intimate dinner for the designer Michael Kors at his newly opened flagship store in London. The Crazy Rich Asians star (36) was kitted out in a dainty floral frock designed by Kors, which she teamed with simple bronze sandals by Jimmy Choo.

As summer approaches, the healthy living habits we put in place during the winter can go out the window. Don't automatically assume that you should play down neon brights by pairing a statement colour with black or white. Think outside the box: fluoro greens and yellows go great with camel and beige, while pink can look wonderful with turquoise or orange accessories. And of course, just about every neon colour will always work with light-wash denim.
