Darren Kennedy: Throwing on a cape will instantly elevate any look
If you haven't already done so, you should really consider adding a cape to your winter wardrobe. One of the most prominent outerwear silhouettes to appear on the Autumn/Winter 2019 catwalks was the cape.
Cropping up at JW Anderson, Miu Miu, Balmain, Celine and Etro, there was plenty of support for the cape as the new coat. As you might expect, Chanel offered easy elegance, giving cropped capelets the tweed treatment in bold, bright colours.
Marc Jacobs channelled this season's animal prints with a showstopping three-quarter length one in leopard paired with wide-leg stripped trousers and a pussybow blouse. At JW Anderson, a fluid grey cape stole the show and the hearts of many. While at Burberry they were drapped over the classic trench in chic tonal looks. Whether worn to work with tailored trousers or worn over a cocktail dress, the style will instantly add elegance to any look.
Karlie Kloss is one of those women who can wear anything and look beautiful. She’s more than just good looks, that beautiful smile just radiates positive vibes. Karlie looks stunning in this form-fitting, one-sleeve dress with gold-button detailing on the shoulder.
