Darren Kennedy: Opt for fabric blends when you're feeling hot under the collar
A perfectly tailored suit is timeless.
Unfortunately, it's not necessarily seasonless and this is where the fabric comes into play. In warmer weather, the fight is on against a sweaty back. Traditional fabrics tend to be heavier - like thick flannel and tweed which belong in colder temperatures.

In the warmer months, it's important to have a less suffocating option to hand. Think lighter fabrics, warmer colours, and less structured fits. Linen tends to be the first fabric that comes to mind when we think of summer suiting. It's super lightweight and helps maintain coolness in soaring temperatures. The problem is that it creases easily, and stains even more so, meaning it requires regular dry cleaning to maintain a fresh, crisp look.
There is an alternative. A cotton/linen blend. This combines the breathability of linen with the structure of cotton which helps the fabric retain its silhouette. It's also an excellent choice for travel as it's very crease resistant. The ideal summer solution that's light on fabric, heavy on style!
