Darren Kennedy: Make a statement - learn how to artfully layer your necklaces
After the past few weeks dissecting garment trends, I thought it was about time to focus on something that many women can probably incorporate without going out and spending a cent. Neck adornment is back this season - and it's bigger than ever.
Singular pendants (think the 'Old Céline' brass alphabet letters and gold Roman coins) have been the reigning favourite when it comes to necklaces as of late, but they're now due to be replaced by eye-catching statement pieces. The layering of said necklaces was executed particularly well at Paco Rabanne, who showed multiple medallions with each outfit, and both Alexander McQueen and Giambattista Valli who opted for strands of oversized chain links with vintage-inspired detailing. Luckily, many women probably have multiple chunky necklace styles lying around from seasons gone by. This time, it's not about a specific trend per se, but artfully layering unexpected necklaces to create a look that's uniquely you.

A headline in a recent edition of GQ caught my eye: Brad Pitt Is Growing Out His Hair - And So Should You. I'm sure that, like me, a whole lot of men read it and couldn't help but consider following in the footsteps of the Hollywood actor and hairstyle guru. If growing your hair à la Brad is something that does seem appealing, perhaps consider stocking up on a serum; specifically, a follicle stimulant. When massaged directly into the scalp, this award-winning product purportedly helps stimulate stem cells, encouraging the growth of stronger, healthier, lustrous hair. What more could you want? I'm sure that Brad approves. Follicle Forever Serum, €92, Renessence, MrPorter.com
This season, more is definitely more when it comes to accessorizing. AKA, you no longer have to adhere to wearing only a necklace or earrings or bracelet. Take the bohemian bevy of Chloé girls, who proved that wearing everything from an arm cuff and bracelets to toe rings and earrings all at once is the ultimate way to nail nonchalant summer styling.
