Colour is certainly having a blast this season. From pretty pastels to fab fluoros, all we need is some spring sunshine to make them really pop.

The key with brights like this tangerine top from Acne is to partner with monochromes and neutrals. Add an edge by downplaying their eye-catching appeal. Flat sandals, natural hair and a minimum of make-up will all feed the look.

Started in Stockholm in 1996, Acne was originally set-up as a diverse creative agency dealing with everything from graphic design and advertising to TV production.

It has now shot to stardom for its clothing, which is ultra cool, wearable and effortlessly stylish with an urban sensibility.

Other looks on the Acne catwalk included coral cotton kaftans worn with cropped, black leather trousers and blood orange, airy culottes teamed boldly with a black tee and white jacket.

The contrast is uncomplicated and brave.
