As a working mammy of two smallies, I love nothing more than a good beauty cheat, something that will make me look better and younger with minimal fuss and effort, which is why I have become obsessed with Facial Sheet Masks.

The celebs are loving them too, with the likes of Lady Gaga, Karlie Kloss (pictured) and Kylie Jenner posting Instagram evidence of their devotion.

Like all exciting new skincare developments these days, Facial Sheet Masks hail from Asia. For the most part, they come in cloth or paper fabric that has pre-cut holes for your eyes and mouth. The masks are saturated with ingredients to supercharge the skin and make you look like you've spent a week in a top spa. Another thing I love is that the masks lend themselves to relaxation, because it's advised that you lie down and leave the mask on for 15 minutes.

Who should use them? Anyone with moderately to extremely dry skin, or anyone who feels their skin is in need of a tonic. Results are instant but repeated use is advised for maintenance and to keep skin hydrated.

Nuxe's Splendieuse Anti-Dark Spot Perfecting Masks, €35 (for pack of six), is amazing. Not only do they hydrate but they target dark spots and pigmentation irregularities. Each one of the masks is soaked in nearly a 30ml bottle of serum! Shiseido's BENEFIANCE Pure Retinol Intensive Revitalizing Face Mask, €75 (for four) is equally impressive and a firm celeb favourite.
