Amy Huberman is the new face of Newbridge Silverware
The actress' apparent quest for world domination shows no sign of slowing down.
Amy Huberman has added yet another string to her bow - as the face of Irish jewellery brand Newbridge Silverware.
The high achieving actress-turned best-selling author-turned Bourbon shoe designer has done an advertising TV and print campaign, which has not been airbrushed, for the Irish lifestyle brand which goes live on July 1.
The television commercial was shot by actor-turned-director Hugh O’Conor, with print photography shot by Barry McCall. The video screened publicly for the first time today with Amy attending a press conference at the Newbridge Museum of Style Icons.
The soft focus adverts have a cinematic feel and features Amy wearing a silver, strapless Ted Baker dress wearing pearl drop earrings, silver pendant and silver bracelet.
The 34-year-old mum to baby Sadie joins a stellar list of sophisticated beauties who have partnered with the company.
Grace Kelly, supermodels Yasmin le Bon and Sophie Dahl and Dallas actress Linda Gray have all fronted advertising campaigns for the Irish company, which started in Co. Kildare 70 years ago.
Today, the company have welcomed it as "a match made in style heaven" and say the campaign "captures Amy’s effortless sense of style".
In the Style Icon Museum today, Amy joined the ranks of some of the silver screens’ most enigmatic leading women - including Greta Garbo and Maureen O’Hara who have been associated with Newbridge Silverware.
In keeping with the silver theme, Amy wore a Ted Baker dress for the shoot, which was styled by Helen Cody. Veteran supermodel Yasmin Le Bon famously wore a silver tutu for her adverts in 2006/7 . Sophie Dahl took up the baton as the face of the Irish brand in 2008/9 and Dallas star 'Sue Ellen' came to Ireland several times to shoot adverts for their jewellery and handbag range.
Amy, who gave birth to her daughter Sadie in February is a keen follower of fashion, spreading her love from catwalk designer numbers to affordable high street chic. Her love of jewellery is legendary and she has displayed a fondness for simple earrings and necklaces.
Today, she told the Irish Independent: Newbridge Silverware defines elegance, affordable luxury and sophistication and I am thrilled to be associated with such an iconic Irish brand. I have always been a fan of the Newbridge Silverware collection particularly the collections inspired by the legendary stars of the silver screen such as Grace Kelly and Greta Garbo.”
William Doyle, CEO of Newbridge Silverware described Amy as "a true style icon, an accomplished, beautiful woman and brings with her to Newbridge Silverware, an attitude of elegance, style and timeless beauty. She embodies the modern effortless style and timeless elegance of Newbridge Silverware and I am truly delighted that Amy will now be associated with us here at Newbridge.”
As for what's next, Amy has admitted she "can't wait" to follow her husband Brian O'Driscoll to Australia and will spend three weeks following the squad with baby daughter Sadie.
"We're really looking forward to it, it's going to be a real girls' road trip because Sadie and I are going over with my cousin Noleen," she said.
"There's been so much going on and you just hope he's fit and okay to play, but I can't wait now – I'm starting to get excited.
