Simone Rocha's star continued to rise at London Fashion Week where the 26-year-old Dubliner proved she is no flash in the fashion pan.

With a series of luxe gold outfits, John Rocha's daughter had her celebrity-studded audience enthralled at her spring-summer show.

Shiny gold leather on a crisp-collared shirt over a plain skirt was powerfully simple and instantly covetable. The metallic theme continued with eye-catching, laced-up brogues in yellow gold with chunky perspex soles and heels -- a look that Simone has turned into a best-seller. Models with high ponytails marched out to the sound of the Stone Roses in a cavalcade of muted colours. Her look ranged from gold handcrafted crochet tops to a super-refined coffee-coloured shiny skirt worn with milky-white top and a scallop-edge lunch bag.

While Simone was excited about introducing volume in lace dresses and skirts in neon green, pink and white, she also explored a pretty, slimline silhouette tweed dress with lace overlay and a revealing 'window pane' of sheer lace that shows off your shapely legs to great effect.

"I was very much inspired by teenagers and by my youth," said Simone who described the collection as a reflection on youth in all its purity and unruliness.

Personal teenage memories were dotted throughout the collection starting with her invitation -- a photograph of the laneway behind Simone's childhood home in Moyne Road, Ranelagh.

Prim tailoring gave the suggestion of school uniforms and the collection explored a range of school characters ranging from head mistress to librarian.

Simone's signature brogues have developed too -- in stunning cream leather with scalloped lace effect over a green heel.

"The silhouette is more grown up but the feeling is playful," said Simone who spent her formative years at the High School in Rathgar.

It was a true family affair with dad and mum in the front row, and with the music selected by her brother Max. After the show, dad and daughter headed to Paris to sell their 2013 collections. Simone is stocked in 30 stores worldwide including Colette in Paris, where the young Irish designer hangs beside Valentino. Back in Dublin, Simone's sole Irish stockist, Havana in Donnybrook, flew her flag during Fashion Week with their front window display showing her autumn-winter 2012 pieces.
