ELEVATING the casual is a buzz phrase for weekend luxe dressing - with the new spring-summer 2015 M&S womenswear collection studded with some real gems.

A tan suede, slit-front 'Autograph' skirt (€270) that international style icon Olivia Palermo got her hands on early, is expected to be popular when it reaches Irish stores in May.

Mix up the price points with a patchwork-effect 'Limited Edition' chiffon shirt (€44) and with its flecks of blue, this shirt threads in well with the 'Into The Blue' denim story which formed the finale of last night's M&S show at Merrion Square, Dublin.

Irish love of year-round coats was answered with two special ones, both from the 'Autograph' collection. A run is expected on the tailored, navy, one-button wool overcoat (€195) pictured above.

Watch out for the arrival in April/May of a standout, metallic/textured, printed tapestry coat (€175) that shimmers under lights. For affordability, it's hard to pass on the coral 'Limited Edition' floral dress (€68), pictured above with a cream polo.
