Brush up on your handwriting style: French luxury giant Louis Vuitton is rumoured to be creating a line of chic stationery.

Letter writing is set to become fashionable once again as Louis Vuitton is reported to be adding stationery to its repertoire.

The French brand already offers a selection of pens, travel notebooks and agendas in addition to its monogrammed luggage, but the new range would see the introduction of writing papers and related paraphernalia, according to WWD . If true, the move could see Louis Vuitton competing with the likes of Smythson to create luxurious, designer stationery.

The rumoured launch is said to tie in with the expansion of the Saint-Germain-des-Prés boutique, an area of the French capital that is closely associated with writers, booksellers and publishing houses.
