A glimpse of summer fashion as snow falls in flurries outside
A January day with snow flutters and Arctic temperatures only hones our desire for summer - and Brown Thomas was offering a colourful fashion showcase of what to expect for the spring-summer 2018 season.
Pictured above (left to right) Anastasia is wearing a sculptural Delpozo dress, €3,500, Teo in a Céline shirt, €820, and matching lace detail skirt, €820. Maria is wearing patchwork floral Peter Pilotto dress with asymmetric shoulder, €1,750, and Aine is wearing a sunshine filled belted Rosie Assoulin dress, €2,070.
Rosie Assoulin, from New York, is one of the new brands in store this season along with Calvin Klein, Italian design house MSGM and Palm Angels, of Los Angeles.
"It's a season where colourful maximalism is explored throughout the collections with looks dominated by a distinctly nostalgic feeling," explained Shelly Corkery, fashion director at Brown Thomas.
"It's all about decoration and ornamentation and nostalgia is everywhere with designers looking at the past to create the future."
