Clash your colours like a pro with on-trend red and pink

Fashion's love affair with red and pink continues for Spring 2018 - the collections offered up the eye-catching colour combination in spades. Valentino, Anya Hindmarch, Victoria Beckham and JW Anderson were among the heavy hitters backing the two-tone trend, but perhaps the sweetest iteration came in the form of Emilia Wickstead's bow-detail dress (right).

Colour blocking is the easiest entry point to this trend. Layer a pink textured jumper over a red dress or a patent red skirt. Pick complementary shades of both colours. Bright pillar-box red works well with practically the full spectrum of pinks, from fuchsia to candyfloss hues. The visual effect of combining the two shades results in a sharp and sophisticated look that's guaranteed to put a pep in your step - and to brighten up even the dullest of days.
